FAQs For The Lennox Pillowcase Pair
What Makes the Lennox Pillowcase Pair Special?
Designed by Peter Reed in 1983 as an alternative to pure linen sheets for The Savoy Hotel in London. A mixture of 60% linen and 40% cotton which has the feel of pure linen but the launderability of cotton. Reed Family Linen's Linen Union fabric has since become one of their most beloved and popular weaves. While their Linen Union fabric has been a customer favorite for over 40 years, the Lennox Collection is the first time they’ve made striped bedding with it, woven in two timeless stripe patterns.
What are the advantages of Linen Union fabric?
Linen Union’s long linen fibres promote airflow, making it wonderfully breathable while sleeping, it pairs linen’s luxury with cotton’s strength and ease, for natural heat-regulating properties.
Care Instructions
CARE FOR YOUR LINEN
- Machine washable at 40°C
- Softer and simpler to launder than pure linen.
Reed Family Linen's bed linens are made from the finest fabrics and finished to the highest possible standard and in order to retain this quality for many years, it is important to follow these simple instructions:
WASHING
All machine washable at medium temperature. Always read and follow the washing instructions on the care label stitched into all our bed linen. Separate white, light and dark items. Avoid washing powders that contain optical brighteners; these can cause colours to fade and become patchy over time. Beauty products have a detrimental affect on your linens as they contain bleaching agents and can cause permanent colour loss. Never wash at a higher temperature than recommended as this can cause the overall fabric to permanently shrink and lose its surface quality.
DRYING & IRONING
Use a hot iron and for best effects press embroidered sections on the reverse side. All our bed linens can be tumble dried on a cool setting, but it is important to remove them as soon as the programme has finished to minimise creasing. Ironing the bed linen with a steam iron while slightly damp will produce the crispest finish. Embroidered items should be turned inside out to iron as this will raise the embroidery and lessen the chance of catching the stitching.
