Be enthralled by the magical Shell bed, a magnificent reproduction of a 17th century masterpiece created for Princess Maria Mancini in Rome.  The Italian furniture maker Schor collaborated with the sculpter Bernini to design the original, which is documented in an obscure 17th century engraving.  Our client wanted a bed befitting royalty shimmering in sterling silver leaf, encompassing a giant shell headboard, and wave effects around the base.

A four poster bed is said to appeal to the romantic in all of us.  The Gothic Gazebo Bed was commissioned by an eccentric Scottish Lord who asked us to infuse the Pugin spirit of Gothic architecture to form this dramatic wrought iron canopy in the shape of the ancestral crown of Scotland.

Private spaces with difficult angles, dimensions and unique character are a designer’s playground and we love to hear ideas for individual commissions, whole house or hotel projects.
