Cezanne Bed with Low Footboard

This smaller version of our Cézanne sleigh bed features the classic sleek curves of the French style lit bateau, with a low footboard. Fashioned from beautiful seasoned walnut with panels of carefully selected cherry wood veneers, this elegant bed is a perennial favourite and is available up to superking and emperor bed sizes.

The matching bedroom furniture range includes a bedside chest, chest of drawers, wardrobe and dressing table.

DELIVERY CHECKLIST

You will be advised of an approximate delivery date at the point of order and this will vary depending on whether the item is in stock, to be ordered and if any special finishes or upholstery are required.  When we contact you to arrange delivery of your furniture, we will ask these questions:

Are there any access issues?  For example, road width, overhanging trees, cul-de-sacs (turning circle), driveways, tunnels, archways, gates, hedges (covering walls), security gates (codes) and parking restrictions.

Are there any restrictions inside your house? For example staircases, banisters, furniture in corridors, pictures or paintings on the walls.  Is there space in the room for your new furniture?

Will you be there to supervise delivery? If not, is someone else clear about exactly where the furniture should be located?

CARE FOR YOUR WOODEN BED

Your luxury wooden bed is handcrafted from carefully selected timber obtained from sustainable worldwide sources.  Each piece is individual, and over time aspects of the surface or colour may change.

Protecting your wooden bed
We have protected your wooden bed frame with four coats of lacquer and a layer of wax. To avoid warping and splitting, keep the room at 17-19˚C and keep away from direct heat sources. Avoid bleaching by keeping your wooden bed out of direct sunlight.

Cleaning your wooden bed
Avoid using silicone waxes, lemon oil and oil-based polishes. Instead use a good quality beeswax to protect your wooden bed during the first 30 days. Between waxings, dust wooden beds with a soft, moist, lint-free cloth.

Moving the bed
Do not move the bed without first removing the mattress and base system. Do not pull or push the bed from the head or foot end only. Instead, with one person on either side of the bed, hold the frame at the midway point, and carefully lift or slide the bed into position.
